Missions

We support many ministries: 

  •        Capital Area Pregnancy Center 
  •       Compassion International - Exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.   
  •       Crop Walk
  •       Fruitbelt Farmworkers
  •          Harrisburg District Mission Work Camp
  •       Mission Central
  •       Mechanicsburg Area Meals on Wheels
  •           Neighborhood center of the United Methodist Church
  •       New Hope Ministries
  •       Pennsylvania's Concerned About Alcohol Problems - PCAP is an educational association serving as a resource to provide information concerning the use of alcohol and related problems.   
  •       Preachers Aid Society – This is a ministry devoted to the assistance of clergy families in need within the Central PA Conference.
  •       Rural Life - Helps ministries in some of our smaller, more rural churches.  
  •       Silence of Mary Home - A lay ministry at 14th and Market Streets in Harrisburg that provides sanctuary, food, and a family structure with stability and Christian values to homeless and at-risk teenagers.   
  •       The Gideons International  - Founded in 1899 by three businessmen, the Gideons International now numbers 170,000 members, representing many denominations, in 187 countries. This worldwide ministry distributes 70 million Scriptures in 86 languages every year – two every second. Testimonies come in continually from those who accepted Christ as personal Savior while reading a New Testament or hotel Bible. Many of those converts have gone into full time ministry. 
  •       Youth Service Fund - This ministry is operated by the Central PA Conference Youth Council.  This fund provides grants to agencies or programs that have a direct impact on Teens.
